Nikolaos Stylos

Nikolaos Stylos is Senior Lecturer/Assoc. Professor in Marketing, Postgraduate (PhD) Research Director, ‘Innovation & Digitalisation’ research group Lead at School of Management, and ‘Smart Networks 4 Sustainable Futures’ Faculty research group Lead at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Dr Stylos has a PhD in Business Administration (Marketing), an MBA degree, an MSc degree in Mechanical Reliability Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. His interdisciplinary research projects focus on decision-making in digital marketing, Industry 4.0 management (including 3D printing, Big Data, smart devices, ambient intelligence), and environmental management with applications in the areas of new technologies, retailing, tourism & hospitality.

Niko has published in various journals including Computers in Human Behavior, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Journal of Cleaner Production, Psychology & Marketing, The International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment, Journal of Business Research, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research. Niko is currently serving as associate editor in three international journals in business/marketing and tourism.

Dr Stylos has served as professional management and technical consultant for a decade and has secured funding from UK and EU research councils / organisations to work with international partners on research projects. In 2020, Dr Stylos has been appointed as Honorary Professor of Hotel Management at Tainan University of Technology, Taiwan, in recognition of his substantial and multi-faceted contributions to research (business, environmental management/engineering, marketing) in the fields of Hospitality Management and Tourism Marketing.
